Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Gardens are here to teach our SLCC community about sustainable gardening practices and to empower them to grow their own fresh produce for both themselves and the SLCC community.
Sustainably grow your own food with our awesome gardening community! Get a plot for yourself, your friends, a club, or a department. You plant, maintain, and harvest whatever crops you'd like. We water your plants, provide tools, and offer assistance and workshops. Any produce is yours to keep, but you are welcome to donate extra to the Bruin Pantry.
*Update 5/25/22: Garden plots are sold out at all 3 locations for 2022.*
Volunteer outdoors with activities such as planting, weeding and harvesting as well as indoor activities such as graphic design and writing. Have fun while satisfying volunteer or service requirements. Service-learning faculty and clubs can also sign up for service projects.
SLCC Gardens has locations at four campuses: Taylorsville Redwood, South City, Jordan, and Miller. Each garden has its own history, ambience, and purposes. Click here button below to learn more or to schedule a visit.
Follow SLCC Gardens on Facebook or SLCCsync to view or RSVP to upcoming gardening events and workshops. Other organizations such as Wasatch Community Gardens, Tree Utah, and Jordan River commission do similar outdoors work and host a variety of workshops which SLCC gardeners can attend for free or at discounted price.
